Someone mentioned this program to me this morning and I thought I would make a post about it in case it was of interest to any one else.

Xara Xtreme LX is a Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) program which was ported from Windows and released it under the GNU General Public License earlier this year.

I only made some quick doodles & effects while I was playing with it, but that was enough for me to note its ease of use and ultimately decide to keep Xara around on my computer as a decent alternative to Inkscape.
